Harrogate Christmas
Market sell out! 4th November 2019
The eighth Harrogate Christmas Market is another
total sell-out, with all 200 stalls being booked mostly by Yorkshire-based
Traders offering a wide range of British-made gifts, clothes, jewellery, food
and drink.
The four-day event runs from Thursday, November 14th
to Sunday, November 17th at the bottom of Montpellier Hill. The opening hours
are being adjusted slightly to meet increasing demands from Traders, Visitors
and Coach Operators – opening one hour longer on Thursday and Friday and closing
half an hour earlier on Saturday. This area of the Stray is thankfully NOT
water-logged as Harrogate Christmas Market has arranged and paid for remedial
spiking and sanding, etc. to improve grass quality since its 2012 event.

7th Harrogate Christmas
Market success!
The 2018 Christmas Market on Montpellier Hill and St
Mary’s Walk was very successful from almost all points of view. There were 200
traders, 142 pre-booked coaches and an estimated 80,000 visitors over the four
days.
Whilst at times on Saturday some of the aisles were
full, the many visitors kept moving along. Most of the stalls were set back
further from the footpaths this year so that visitors could stop and talk to
traders without blocking the way for the crowds walking past. Visitors and
traders praised the organisation and layout of the Market in what was a magical
setting when the lights came on each evening.

Harrogate Christmas Market
sold out!
The sixth Harrogate Christmas
Market is again a total sell-out, with all 200 stalls being booked mostly by
Yorkshire-based Traders offering
a wide range of British-made gifts, clothes, jewellery, food and drink.
The four-day event runs from
Thursday, November 16 to Sunday, November 19 in the centre of Harrogate.
Organiser Brian Dunsby, who
leads the team of volunteers, said, "The positive feedback from last year's
traders made us think we would
have high demand again this year, but it has once again exceeded all
expectations. This enables us to
be very selective about our traders, so we choose those who are based in
or near Yorkshire, offering
British produce and products which can't be found on the high street. As well as
giving them an opportunity to
reach a new audience, it makes the Harrogate Christmas Market a unique
experience for our visitors.
We have a lot of traders
returning and asking for their usual stall locations, as many customers come
back
to see them every year. The Food
and Drink Marquee is now full of independent local producers with small
stalls around the walls, and
plenty of tables and chairs in the middle for visitors to rest, whilst enjoying
a
wide choice of hot and cold
food, and non-alcoholic drinks”.

2nd June 2016 - Fifth
year of record bookings
More than half of the available stalls have been sold in the
first three weeks of booking as organisers prepare for the fifth annual
Harrogate Christmas Market.

in order to take part in the four-day event, which runs from Thursday, November
17 to Sunday, November 20 in central Harrogate.
Organiser Brian Dunsby, who leads the team of volunteers, said: "The positive
response from last year's traders made us think we would have high demand again
this year, but it has once again exceeded all expectations.
"The level of interest is enabling us once again to be selective about our
traders, so we choose those who are offering Yorkshire produce and products
which can't be found on the high street. As well as giving them an opportunity
to reach a new audience, it makes the Harrogate Christmas Market a unique
experience for our visitors.
"We have a lot of traders returning, and asking for the usual stall locations as
many customers come back to see them every year. The Food and Drink Marquee is
now offering a choice of alternative stall sizes to suit both large and small
Yorkshire businesses, and we are particularly keen to hear from local
independent food and drink businesses.

SET TO SELL OUT IN RECORD TIME
The

this year, with less than a quarter of places left for traders.
Almost
80% of the 200 trader spaces have been booked for the Market, which runs from
