Harrogate Christmas Market
wins Best Achievement of the Year Award!
We
are very pleased to report that the Harrogate Christmas Market won the Best
Achievement of the Year Award at Harrogate's Hospitality & Tourism Awards in
the Royal Hall last night.
The citation for this category reads: "The
winning nomination will be
either
an individual or a business that has made significant positive change to enhance
customer experience, or grown their business against market
expectation/conditions. Being from any sector related to business or leisure
tourism, the overall winner's achievement will clearly set them apart
from their colleagues and/or competitors."
This category was sponsored by Blue Line Taxis and
the award was presented by their Director Paul Rushton. The Awards Ceremony
was organised by Destination Harrogate and hosted by Gary Verity, Chief
Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire.
The
award was accepted by the Christmas Group Chairman Councillor John Fox, YBM
Director, Mark Lancaster and Chief Executive Brian Dunsby. Brian expressed
special thanks to the Perlex Associates team for administering the event and to
the whole of the Christmas Market Working Group for their massive support in
creating such a large event in a very short time last year.
The second Harrogate Christmas Market will be one
week later than last year, on Thursday 28th November until Sunday 1st December
2013, again on St Mary's Walk and the adjoining areas of the Stray at the bottom
of Montpellier Hill, near The Crown Hotel.
